Never again!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I could not have been more disappointed in the way this job was handled.

I spent over $50,000 on this project and it took from October to January to finish. Allied had to come back and redo or fix nearly everything they did.

Substandard work ,substandard materials, what they quoted was not the work they did.

See pics

The jobsite was sloppy, they left a box trash on my back patio, tiles everywhere, it was a complete mess from start to finish.

The supplier they use for the coping around the pool had one color of coping in the show room and delivered a completely different color to the job site. This happened twice until we had to go pick another color at a different supplier, in all it took three attempts to get the coping color correct.

I paid for upgraded travertine tile but what they put in was substandard travertine with huge epoxy patches they ended up having to come out and replace 48 of the tiles. I asked for a refund on the difference of the upgraded travertine to the travertine I received and they refused. See pics

They tore my backyard up and told me they would fix anything they did.

This was not true . I had to have them come out three times before they finally put enough sod down to patch the trenches they dug out in my backyard.

If I had not complain they would have not have fix it. See pics

All in all it was a terrible experience for my wife and I.

We had company do a Carvestone application on our pool deck in 2016. At companys request we had a reseal done in 2018. Total paid to company was $13,000.

Now the paint is chipping off, expansion joints are discolored and we have numerous pinholes showing in the surface itself.

Told by company that the pinholes are normal and paint is not covered by their warranty.

Would not use Allied for anything and do NOT recommend Carvestone.

BEWARE!!! Do NOT do business with Allied Outdoor Solutions

The customer service, lack of responsiveness and quality of work is horrible. We signed a contract with them in March 2019 and only a portion of the work has been done.

Below summarizes all the issues we've had with this company.

-3-25-19 contract signed

-7-23-19 city permit approved; was told they would get us on the project schedule ASAP

-From that point on I was given the run around on when they would start. Always next week, or late next week.

-I always had to initiate the calls for information. They never contacted me to provide an update.

-Called another office to complain but was transferred to the same person in Dallas who would never give me a straight answer

-Was finally told they would be here on Friday or Saturday (8-23/24) to drop off lumber/supplies.

-No show once again so was going to call Monday morning to try to cancel contract. When I called again I was told they would be there that day (Monday- 8-26)

-The construction crew finally showed up after noon and started construction on the roof.

Forecast called for rain that night.

-Poor job of covering open roof areas, and you guessed it, water damage to our ceiling and walls inside our house

-They were responsive to my calls this time and came out and looked at damage and said they would “fix it” when they do the final trim woodwork on the interior of the patio cover (no dates were given)

-The roof buildout was completed on Tuesday (8-27)

-No dates for completion of the work were given, no timelines were given, no written plan for the remaining steps was given

-All of the old roof materials and debris was piled up on the side of my house for 3 weeks. They finally came to pick it up last week.

-Exchanged texts with Project Manager on Wednesday (9-4) asking about the electrician. He said he did not know when the electrician would be but should be soon.

-Electrician finally showed up on 9-11 and completed work.

I have not heard any updates from Allied.

-We have piles of lumber laying in our courtyard for 2 weeks that we can barely walk around

If I could give negative stars I would. Again, save yourself the headache and the feeling that you are a worthless customer and go with another company.

Patio looks old and worn

Allied Outdoor Solutions - Patio looks old and worn

Recently had my outdoor pool deck and patio done in carvestone. It looks dull and unfinished.

Nothing like what their brochure and ads look like. They basically said too bad. It is also chipping and it has been one month since I got it.

Not happy and they do not care. The regional director said basically thats the product.

WORST EVER

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Run, don't even think about using this company, run in any direction that takes you away from Allied Outdoor Solutions. I sure wish I had read the reviews here before having them resurface our fading cooldeck, coping, and retaining walls.

From the first missed appointment by the sales manager, the entire experience has been horrendous. Like many others have noted, they are masters of over-promising and under-delivering. The original design we chose was changed on the recommendation of the installation manager since he said we would have issues with it (seems like the sales manger would have had the same opinion). The install was supposed to take a few weeks and took several months, partially due to an unusually wet spring season that year.

Even when it was dry, they rarely showed up, obviously wanting to get other projects started so that they would not be cancelled. They knew they already had us locked in so we were no longer a priority. The crew that did the original install made such a mess of our backyard, often leaving empty water bottles and cans. There is still deck stain that ran down the pool tile under the coping that I have not been able to remove and they could not be bothered to remove.

They stated they would do their best to keep debris out of the pool and spa. The amount of debris that ended up in both and sat there for months was incredible! It took multiple visits by professional pool cleaners to get our pool back to normal after the work was completed. We have needed a handful of repairs over the years and they always take weeks to get completed.

In the last repair they even used a completely different color of /grout mastic and said they could not come back out to fix it. Another item worth noting is that you will have to reseal the deck at least every two years and that the color will fade tremendously between those resealings. They will likely need to install new color before resealing and will of course charge additional for those touch ups. They are smart businessmen in that they have you exactly where the want you, locked in for years, if you want to keep their mediocre product looking its best.

We played their game and had it sealed a few times since we spent so much for the original installation and did not have the money to replace it with something else. On this last scheduled resealing appointment I reached out to the project manager the day before to confirm after awaiting nearly two months to be put on the schedule (naturally he did not reach out to me to confirm first) and was told they would be there the following afternoon. We had guests arriving for the holiday weekend so we were cutting it close. They did not show and the project manager did not return any calls or e-mails for the entire weekend.

I called the sales person who sold us the resealing and he said the manager had a family emergency. While that is completely understandable, the fact that no one reached out to me to apologize and explain that speaks volumes about how poorly run this company is. I could post so much more about our interactions with them over the years, but hope this outline and the several photos of their shoddy work attached show you all that you need to know. Do yourself a favor and save up for real stone or stick with a known product like cooldeck.

If you elect to use Allied Outdoor Solutions, you will undoubtedly be massively disappointed with the results. Absolutely the WORST in every aspect.

Chipping Stamped Concrete Patio

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Allied had to tear out and repour the initial concrete for our driveway and stamped concrete patio project. The project was completed but has refused to repair the chipping paint on our two year old covered patio stamped concrete by the backdoor as it is out of warranty.

Allied only offers a one year warranty on its product and workmanship and we are out of warranty by one year.

Instead, they try to sell a new carvestone project for $6,000. No thank you, Allied.

The work in pictures looks great but beware of what you get over time. The carve-stone process might look good when they leave but the color will fade.

Have had them come back already to reseal and in a few months back to faded look. Would never recommend .

Repaint pergola

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Allied Outdoor Solutions - Repaint pergola

Fired off a complaint to the Better Business Bureau after twice trying to contact by phone the project manager who built my pergola with no response. I later found out that individual no longer worked for Allied Outdoor Solutions so I hadn’t really notified the company at all.

I called the company directly and was contacted the next day by the new project manager, Carlos Flores, who personally met with me the same day to respond to my problem. Within a day he had people on my property to first pressure wash the old paint. After it had time to dry painters were again on my property to paint, and this was on a Sunday. To say I am now pleased would be a huge understatement.

I’m embarrassed I got BBB involved in this.

Should have started with the company rather than a past employee. I would strongly recommend this company as they back their work.

Carvestone is not cool when you walk on it

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Paid $29,505 to have pool surface, sidewalk done in Carvestone as they say “cool to walk on even in the hottest of days”. On a 92 degree day the surface temp of the surface around the pool is 150 degrees.

This was reported to them last year and as if this moment, they have done nothing. They have said there is no way to fix it and they will not refund any money.

NEVER again

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We paid $ 10,000 for a job. The work is gorgeous when they put it in.

Unfortunately their seal did not last a full 2 years, so instead of paying $2000 for them to re-seal, we sealed it ourself, with the produce THEY RECOMMENDED. Once again, the color did not last a 2 full years.

We contacted the manufacturer and purchased a BETTER quality sealant (again, the one that was recommended by them), again, the seal did not last 2 years, and our color has faded and they want $3,000.00 to re-seal and re-stain, it's only been 5 years. NOPE.....not again....would not recommend this company to anyone.

Looks horrible. The back patio does not match the front patio.

The color is faded. I ask for the grout to be dark and i absolutely did not want the white. They told me it would get darker. Some grout lines ere abvious mistakes and the rep told me that is the way it is suppose to be.

Don’t think they sealed it well as stains from anything will not come off. The rep was very nice upfront but very demeaning at finish. Had an excuse for all errors. Very disappointed and would not recommend this company or product to anyone.

They couldn’t even get the caulking around the house straight. 22k for a *** job.

Great Concrete Work!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We have a new construction home sitting on a 1/2 acre lot with a tiny 80 square foot slab. It looks ridiculous next to our yard & home.

We decided to expand our patio by 900 square feet. I was very nervous about the construction process because we have 3 large dogs, 2 young children and on top of that I was 5 months pregnant. I was just unsure how much this was going to interrupt our daily lives & I was expecting a total disaster in our backyard. I was pleasantly surprised to say it was not.

The crews were amazing. They were polite & very efficient with their time. I always heard horror stories of construction crews never cleaning up & trashing the construction site. They did not.

The crew was very professional & once the project was finished; everything was picked up & put back where they needed to be. Took them 2 full days to finish our whole patio expansion project. Prep the 1st day & pour on the 2nd day. They even called us out so our kids could put their little handprints on the new patio.

Which made it even more special. We are very happy with the end results. The job looks amazing. We get compliments on it all the time.

We used Allied 6 months later for our stone fire pit & brick columns. The fire pit was very large so it took a day & a half to complete. They ran out of material, but it didn't stop them from working. They worked on other parts of the project & they had the materials there by the end of the day.

The fire pit & columns compliment the colors of our home very well. We LOVE our fire pit. We will be using Allied again for our future projects. We trust they will do quality professional work.We have a new construction home sitting on a 1/2 acre lot with a tiny 80 square foot slab.

Never again

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I used Allied Outdoor Solutions last year to pour a concrete patio and install a hot tub in the backyard of my new home after interviewing a few companies, and Allied seemed like the best company to go with. Positives: The employees were really nice, and they did a quality job on the patio and installation of the stone around the hot tub.

They did a great job setting up and taking down the project, so we didn't have to do anything to assist in completing the project. Negatives: Allied was not timely in installing the patio. After we moved into the home and contracted Allied, it took about 4-5 months for them to start and complete the project. Allied used a local sprinkler company to come and adjust my sprinkler lines in the yard to accommodate for the patio.

The sprinkler company changes the zones in my sprinkler panel, and then adjusted the sprinkler heads in my front yard. I contacted Allied, the job is still under warranty, and they denied doing anything to change the zones on my sprinklers or that they messed with the sprinkler heads in the front yard.

Well, the sprinkler company did, because the owner told me face to face that he did in my front yard after the project, but that everything should be working better. Conclusion: While Allied did a great job with the patio, they really did and it is very nice, they are not timely and the do not hold up their end of the warranty.

Beautiful Outdoor Kitchen

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Allied Outdoor Solutions installed a fantastic outdoor kitchen in our backyard! We had an old kitchen that needed demo'd before the new could be built, and they handled that also.

The crews were courteous and kept us up to date on the progress of our project. They also kept us informed of any unforeseen changes that would need to be made.

We have certainly loved using the new grill, fridge, and kegerator that were installed, and it made our space so much more functional. We recommend their work, and will definitely be using Allied Outdoor Solutions again for our next project!
